How we’ve grown!

St. Petersburg
Gary Roberts and Mark Wallace, two businessmen from Indiana, purchased Decks & Docks Lumber Co. from the original owners.
Sarasota
Owner Gary Roberts’ son (and now CEO) Shawn Roberts opened the Sarasota location in September, 2005, less than a year after taking over the St. Petersburg location.
Cocoa
Decks & Docks branches out to the East Coast and opens a location in Cocoa in August, 2006.
Naples
Capitalizing on a booming waterfront residential housing market, Decks & Docks heads south and opens the Naples yard in August, 2007.
Ft. Lauderdale
Perfectly situated to serve The Florida Keys and up through Broward County, Ft. Lauderdale was an ideal location to serve South Florida, opened in April, 2008.
Jacksonville
Extending their reach to cover almost all of coastal Florida, Mark Wallace’s son, Tyler Wallace, opened the Jacksonville location in January, 2010.
Clearwater HQ
Realizing that this growing company needed a home base, Decks & Docks moved into a refurbished upholstery factory near downtown Clearwater in 2009.
Ft. Pierce
After a short break in opening locations to ride out the recession, Decks & Docks was poised for growth once again in 2010, and opened a location in the underserved Ft. Pierce market in December of that year.
Charleston
Having covered almost all of coastal Florida, Decks & Docks decides to forge north, and opens a location in Charleston in April of 2011.
Cape Coral
Presented with a unique opportunity, Decks & Docks decides to partner with an existing building materials company in Lee County Florida and open a marine-specific lumber company in Cape Coral, Florida in November, 2012.
Wilmington, NC
Northward, ho! Realizing North Carolina has more aggregate coastline than California, and doing the math of how many potential docks that equals, Decks & Docks opens up right in between river country and the Outer Banks, in beautiful Wilmington, in May, 2013.
Savannah, GA
Just a few months after Wilmington, Decks & Docks opens its Savannah location, thus filling in the entire eastern coastline from North Carolina to the Florida Keys.
West Palm Beach
In order to better serve customers north of Broward County and to Okeechobee, Decks & Docks opens a lumber yard in West Palm Beach in April, 2015.
New Bern, NC
With our Wilmington yard running at full capacity, Decks & Docks opens a satellite location more inland in New Bern, to serve Neuse River and northern Outer Banks customers, in June, 2016.
