We are excited to announce our Employee of the Quarter, Aaron Renaud – Branch Manager in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Aaron initially started off in our Charleston branch in the yard. He’s a Northerner, previously from Massachusetts, living and working in the South, and the guys love to bust his chops about it. With his thick Boston accent, it catches attention in South Carolina. Formerly a prison guard, Aaron made a name for himself very quickly at Decks and Docks as he was always ready to work and got the job done. He was referred to as the human forklift because of his size, sometimes it was just easier to have Aaron handload something rather than use equipment.

Aaron’s work ethic and knack for the industry caused management to take notice and he worked his way up the ladder in a short period of time, becoming the Branch Manager of our newest location in Myrtle Beach. Recounting his efforts, Steven Kukulka, Regional Manager of our Mid-Atlantic Region said “When Aaron was at our Charleston branch, he came in on the weekends to completely reorganize our decking without being asked. He also picked up the slack and jumped into the yard from his driving position without any hiccups. He is an asset to Decks and Docks”. Since being promoted, Aaron has worked on training two individuals to fill his void.

Opening a new location is no easy task and Aaron has been there every step of the way. From working on finding new sales opportunities, to delivering orders in the truck, to hanging drywall and building out the showroom, Aaron has been our key guy throughout this process.

Aaron is easy to work with, likeable at the store level and with customers and vendors, and an all-around great guy. On a personal note, you are guaranteed to see Aaron donning some of the classiest watches as he is an avid watch collector. He also dabbles in making moonshine! A jack of all trades.

Aaron is one of the prime examples of hard work and determination paying off. We’re excited to see what the future holds for our newest store in Aaron’s hands. Congratulations Aaron. We’re thankful to have you as a part of our team.
